Abstract

The production of sea spray aerosols by breaking waves represents one of the largest natural contributors to particle mass in the atmosphere. Sea spray aerosols affect the radiative balance via light scattering and influence on cloud formation processes and cloud properties. This talk presents a discussion and preliminary experimental results on sea spray particle production from bubble bursting in seawater under different conditions.
