Air–Sea Greenhouse gas exchange in Tasiilaq

The course will give you insight into and understanding of the sources, uptake and release of greenhouse gases in Arctic ecosystems, including their physical, chemical and biological interactions. You will obtain skills to discuss how climate forcing and increasing temperatures affect the cryosphere, including snow, ice and permafrost, and how these changes influence greenhouse gas exchange in the Arctic. During the course you will gain an understanding of climate-activated feedback mechanisms, such as thawing permafrost, melting snow and reduction of ice masses, and how these processes may further enhance Arctic warming. The course takes place in Tasilaq. More information
