An increased presence of especially polar bears at scientific stations and in towns and settlements was one of the subjects of recent meetings between partners of the Isaaffik and Arctic Science Partnership community in Nuuk. The participants showed significant interest in knowing more about polar bears and wildlife in general. With the event “Polar Bears and Wildlife in the Arctic Region - Strategies to operate safely protecting both humans and animals” at GEUS on February 5th 2025, we hope to meet some of this need for information on how to behave and operate in safe manners when working in the Arctic.
